Depending on how you learn best, we can provide written or electronic resources. We will talk you through any information provided or perform role-play demonstrations – it’s all about what works for you.

We’re here to help you rise to challenges in any of the below:

  • Sleep and settling strategies
  • Feeding
  • Play
  • Creating age-appropriate routines
  • Early parenting education

You are able to indicate Parenting Plus as your preferred program via our self-referral form, however, our Assessment and Intake team will work with you to decide which program is best suited for your specific circumstances.

Individual Child and Family Support - 40 hours

In this program, we work in partnership with you to bring enjoyment back into your parenting.

It’s for families with children aged from newborn until their 4th birthday, and helps build your parenting strengths to create a healthy foundation for your child’s future.

You’ll get a sense of confidence and plenty of strategies to help with common difficulties including sleep, settling, and parent-to-child bonding.

Self-referrals can be received via your local Orange Door services.

Individual Child and Family Support - 110 hours

Rising to the challenges of parenthood can be overwhelming – our Individual Child and Family Support (110 hours) Program is here to guide you through it.

We work with parents – or soon-to-be parents – with children aged from newborn until their 4th birthday. It focuses on the key parenting skills you need to help your little one thrive – particularly in the first few months of life.

Our experience tells us how much easier it is when you have a community on your side. So not only do our staff help build your confidence, they help you build your support network for the long term.

Self-referrals can be received via your local Orange Door services.

Home Based Parenting and assessment skills development (PASDS)

Our PASDS program supports families who have contact with Child Protective Services.

We partner with parents and carers to build on their strengths and understand their challenges, so that children can thrive in their own homes.

We gives families the opportunity to find and achieve their goals, and to connect with support in their communities.

Our PASDS programs can take place in your home or our staff will let you know what other options are available when they meet your family.

Family Preservation and Reunification Response (FPRR)

Our FPRR program is for families with children aged from newborn until their 6th birthday, who have contact with Child Protective Services.

We provide the option for support in either your home or a community setting to promote safe, healthy, thriving and strong families with children.

Specialised Interventions - Stronger Families

This program involves intensive home visits to support families with children aged from newborn until their 4th birthday.

Families referred to this program are enrolled in a Family Preservation and Unification Response Program with QEC or a partner agency.

You will be allocated a case manager from one of our partner agencies and have access to specialised services through a flexible model that works for your unique needs.

QEC’s Specialised Interventions program works within a care team of professionals to deliver parenting support to families engaged in the Family Preservation and Reunification Response Program.
