All of our programs are focused on giving children the best start in life and are delivered by our highly qualified Learning and Development team.

Our Learning and Development team are practising professionals within the Education, Nursing, and Early Years fields, with extensive clinical experience.

The team delivers specialised training programs such as:

  • Family Partnership Model
    (The Centre for Parent & Child Support and Murdoch Children’s Research Institute)
  • Keys to Infant Caregiving
    (Parent-Child Relationship Programs-University of Washington Barnard Centre)
  • The Parent-Child Interaction Scales for both Teaching and Feeding
    (Parent-Child Relationship Programs – the University of Washington Barnard Centre)
  • PlaySteps Program Facilitation

As well as the above core programs, the Learning and Development team can also tailor a professional development package to meet the needs of an organisation working in the Early Years sector.

The First University Early Parenting Course

Delivered in partnership with Monash University, we have developed the first university early parenting course that will provide students with the knowledge and skills required to work with parents/carers with children under 4 years of age in a range of settings.


QEC Maternal and Child Health Nurse EPC Development Program

Nurses looking to grow their knowledge, skills and confidence working with families can apply for our Maternal and Child Health Nurse Development Program. Since January 2018, QEC has offered Maternal and Child Health nurses an opportunity to be part of the QEC team for 24 weeks, working across four of our programs at Noble Park.

The four programs include Residential, Day Stay, Parenting Assessment and Skills Development Service (PASDS) and Assessment and Intake.

The QEC MCH Nurse EPC Development Program:

  • Orientation
  • Mentoring- formal and informal
  • Education
  • Reflective Practice
  • QEC Professional Records- with all 4 programs
  • Skills and Knowledge reviews
  • Hands-on experience
  • Rostered paid shifts
  • Evaluation from participants
