Welcoming Consumer Bek Morgan to our Board Subcommittee | QEC Skip to main content

We are delighted to welcome Bek Morgan as the newest consumer appointed to our Board Quality Risk and Clinical Governance Sub-Committee.

About Bek
As an AuDHD parent of three young children, Bek is a current member of both QEC's Family Advisory Committee and Belonging Committee. She aims to contribute meaningful insight, ask considered questions, and support outcomes that are practical, inclusive, and aligned with consumer needs and QEC's organisational values.

As a professional writer and content editor with a background in nursing, psychology, and strategy, Bek has developed strong communication and engagement skills. She aims to support diverse communities to always have a voice. Outside of work, Bek loves to bake with her children, spend time outdoors with family and friends, and travel.

Beks Journy with QEC
Bek reached out to QEC in 2024 when her twin boys were almost three years old. She took part in our in-home program and had a very positive experience.

What the Board Quality Risk and Clinical Governance Sub-Committee does
The QRCG Committee oversees key areas including:

  • Making sure systems and processes are in place to deliver safe, effective care that follows best practice
  • Overseeing clinical and related risks
  • Providing high level clinical governance across leadership, workforce, risk management, clinical practice, and consumer partnerships
  • Checking that QEC meets required policy frameworks, accreditation, legislation, and strategic goals
  • Reviewing reports, data, and trends to ensure there are no major risks to QEC, families or employees

We are so grateful for our families who are willing to bring their lived experience to help us in our mission to give children the best start.

Congratulations Bek!
