Free paediatric first aid course for families living within the City of Greater Dandenong.

Did you know that preventable injuries remain a top cause of hospital admissions and fatalities among children in Australia?

Knowing how to spot potential hazards and react quickly in an emergency is essential for every family. Kidsafe Victoria in collaboration with Emergcare will be delivering a free paediatric first aid course to parents, carers, grandparents, and anyone involved in the care of young children. This initiative is funded by the City of Greater Dandenong.

As part of the 3-hour course, attendees will be guided through an interactive and engaging paediatric first aid training session that includes practical injury prevention education, how to perform CPR on infants and children, and manage some of the most common child first aid emergencies, including choking, burns, drowning, fractures, bleeding, allergies (e.g. anaphylaxis) and poisoning.
