The Implementation of a new parenting practice model in the Queen Elizabeth Centre residential service: A study of organisational adaptationThis action research project was initiated by Pam Stilling, Chief Executive Officer of the Queen Elizabeth Early Parenting Centre in conjunction with Professor Jane Drummond of the University of Alberta. Professor Drummond played an important role in setting the overall direction of the project, through her valued input over several visits in 2002 and 2003. She was instrumental in encouraging a developmental and participative approach to organisational change and research. Evaluation of the Queen Elizabeth Centre’s 5-Day Residential Program (Executive Summary)The 5-day residential program at the Queen Elizabeth Centre provides intensive parenting education and support for parents of children between the ages of 0—3 years who are experiencing complex difficulties. The program aims to enhance early parenting practices, positive family communication and interaction, caregiver well-being, and healthy child development. An evaluation of the effectiveness of this program was conducted to explore the acceptability of the program and the family centred approach at the Centre, as well as the effects of the program on parental wellbeing and child behavioural difficulties. Report to the Queen Elizabeth Centre on the Evaluation of the Queen Elizabeth Day Stay Program for Mothers with Infants and Toddlers.The Day Stay program at the Queen Elizabeth Centre is a flexible program that assists parents to learn new parenting strategies to address areas such as feeding and sleeping problems and managing toddler’s difficult behaviour. An evaluation of this program was conduced using randomised controlled trial methodology.
